QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATE
There are no registrations or licenses required to operate a Beauty or Cosmetic Clinic in South Africa. As there are no licensing requirements in force, there is no legal requirement to undertake an accredited course to be able to work in the beauty industry or own/run a salon. This is also the case in many other countries, and many more countries currently in the process of deregulation.
This means that many other training avenues have opened up for those interested in entering the beauty industry at a fraction of the price and with far less time restraints than traditional training.
Many RTO’s now offer short courses alongside their accredited courses for those who do not have the time or money for the more formal qualification, or for those who just simply want to test the waters before they do commit to the higher qualification.
There are also many private training providers offering excellent courses both online and in person.
Beauty Courses Online offers the best of both worlds, our comprehensive video content gives you the guidance and training you would get with face to face training, but in the comfort of your own home with help on hand 7 days a week. We offer comprehensive short courses with a Certificate of Completion which is all you need in Australia and now many other countries.
So just to clarify, if you are in a country like South Africa or Australia, where there is no licensing requirement our Certificate is all you need to work in, or own and run a salon.
Accredited courses are NOT always the way to go, it depends largely on the training provider and there are many inadequate ones out there, both accredited and non accredited, but there are also many good ones. You really need to do your homework in this area to make sure you are getting the training required to be successful in this industry.
